Jeffrey H. Marcus is a member of the Equine Law Committee of the Animal Law Section of The Florida Bar. The Committee promotes the exchange of ideas within The Florida Bar and with other state and national bar associations regarding equine law matters. Jeffrey has attended the University of Kentucky College of Law National Conference on Equine Law, one of the premier annual equine law educational events in the United States.

Jeffrey has represented equine buyers, sellers, lessors, lessees and owner/operators of barn operations and tack shops. He has advised on the purchase of horses across international borders. Jeffrey is familiar with equine import and quarantine laws and regulations.

Jeffrey has drafted numerous agreements for equine transactions. A partial list includes purchase and sale agreements, bills of sale, loan and financing agreements, lease and half lease agreements, barn rules for boarders, boarder agreements, and equine activity releases.

Jeffrey has provided pro bono legal services to the equestrian communities in Florida, New York and Pennsylvania.
